Junior SQL Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior SQL Data Analyst to join our team. This role requires expertise in analyzing large datasets, creating advanced reports, and managing SQL databases. The successful candidate will have experience in geographical reporting, database optimization, and working with modern data tools and frameworks. Familiarity with cloud database technologies and .NET repository patterns will be considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze large SQL datasets to extract actionable insights and trends.
• Create complex and visually engaging reports, including trend analysis, growth metrics, and financial reporting.
• Develop geographical reports using ordinance and ESRI datasets, incorporating visualizations like bubble plots, heat maps, and choropleth maps.
• Database Management:
• Design and manage database views while optimizing performance for large-scale queries.
• Administer query plans and index creation to improve database efficiency and reduce execution time.
• Monitor and maintain database performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Cloud and Framework Integration:
• Work with MS Azure databases, including geo-replication features for high availability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in SQL and data analysis.
• 1-3 Years commercial experience
• Demonstrable experience with creating and managing advanced reports.
• Proficiency in geographical data reporting and visualization.
• In-depth knowledge of database performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
• Experience in database administration with MS Azure (geo-replication knowledge preferred).
• Familiarity with .NET Entity Framework and repository patterns (preferred but not essential).
