Junior IT Operations Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Junior IT Operations Engineer to join our clients team. The role will be a mix of development, maintenance, and improvements to the IT infrastructure. You will work cross functionally with different teams to meet the business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the on-premises servers and cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage virtual machines and resolve operational issues for the development team.
  • Provide daily IT support to internal staff and assist in resolving any technical issues.
  • Design and implement architectural solutions to meet business needs and address existing infrastructure challenges.

Knowledge & Experience:

(You do not need to have all the skills listed, it is an exhaustive list of nice to haves so anything is a bonus)

  • Exposure to Linux-based systems, server management, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience or familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • Strong understanding of web servers like Nginx and Apache.
  • Familiarity with AWS services, networking, and hosting.
  • Knowledge of web development concepts and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Windows, CentOS, and Ubuntu environments.
  • Exposure to virtual machines (Hyper-V, VirtualBox, VMware).
